| Allergies in your Dogs Hey Guys I have a lab along with my Yorkie Mia is the Yorkie which I am going to post some pictures today of her If she sits long enough for them But my problem is Rock the lab has really bad allergies this year He is about 5 and I have never had any trouble before with them I am doing the two bendryl a day on a full stomach It has helped his areas around his eyes But his feet are still really bad I have a special shampoo I also use The vet was going to have me try I Cap think that is the correct spelling But it was 157.00 for 15 days Any other ideas The vet said she would advice doing bendryl over the ICap due to cost and he seems ok otherwise But I know that I could have up to 9 months of allergies each year Just wandering what others have tried |

| If your Lab weighs over 24 lbs. maybe one Benydrl isn't enough. Might have to up it to 1-1/2 pills each time. I know it goes by weight according to my vet. My Pip weights around 11 and I give her half a pill.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have my Cali on Atopica but it is 60.00 a month for a 5 lb dog so for your lab it would be a lot more. But you could check with your vet.

| Hi, Ginger is 13# and I give her 1/2 benedryl 2 x's a day. Check the amount your giving. (I'll try to find a link for the dosage). Also, I've found Aveeno oatmeal baths are very soothing to her and seem to calm any inflammation. (for a short period of time) Not so much fun, but helpful: Daily vacuuming (if allergies are environmental), wiping paws everytime your dog comes inside (I use baby wipes), more vacuuming... If food allergies are suspected switching foods could help (although, if you don't know the cause of the allergy, this has to be done carefully...you won't see a difference for 6 to 8 weeks or more) It took us ages to find a food Ginger doesn't react to.

| I have an 80 pound yellow lab, Bridget. And she gets allergies something awful this time of year too. I give her Benadryl also but my vet told me I could give her 2 pills, twice a day. I think they're 25 mg a piece.
