| At what age do you know what color your Yorkie will be I have a 4 month old Yorkie who is still very black and his paws are gold and the top of his head is a little bit silver but his face is mostly black. We never go to see the parents so we are not sure of the colorings of the parents. Also we were told that smaller breeds usually are at their full grown size by 6 months old. He currently weighs 4 lbs. Thanks to all! |

| Well, I honestly don't think there's an actual age when you know their size or coloring is what it's going to be for good. Lilly has went from weighing at 6 months - 6/7 lbs & now she weighs a good 9 lbs. Her color hasn't changed much either. I think you just have to wait it out and see .

| My 9 mo old Bernie is black and gold. My 7 mo old is already turning a blackish blue and silver. So, I'm thinking Bernie is going to remain black and gold. Fine by me, he's the smartest Yorkie I've got!

| I think each one is different. Yorkies are like a box of chocolates, lol you never know what you're going to get! My girl didn't get her full colors until she was almost 2. She is black and gold, but still had silver on top of her head for a long time. She'll be 3 in a few months, I think she's done changing colors.
