| Almost lost Rocky So I was outside on the deck with Rocky and Bella, talking on the phone w/ my fiance. I usually can bring Rocky and Bella on the deck w/o leashing them because it's a small area and they rarely go by the stairs, if they do I tell them no and they come back to me. I took my eyes off them for like a second, not even, and I notice that their not up there anymore! I didn't even HEAR their little feet going down the steps! I go to the stairs and call their names, Bella comes to the bottom of the steps but Rocky is no where to be found So I get Bella and we walk around and I'm yelling Rocky so loud, walking all around the back yard area (We live in a townhome) and he's not showing up. I walk to the front of the house, he's not there. At this point I don't know if he went to the street behind our house (theirs a driveway our yard meets up with), went to the left of our house, the right, I figure I'm going to have to get in my car and start driving around the neighborhood. Finally after about 5 minutes of the worst thoughts going through my mind, I see him, he crossed the street (on the side of our house) and was in the neighbors yard! I'm so thankful! I feel like such an idiot because I always leash them when were outside in the yard, but on the deck I never thought they could get away so fast...I can't imagine what I would do if I didn't find him! From now on they'll always be leashed, no matter where we are! I forgot how sneaky these babies can be!

| Maybe you can find a baby gate so they can't get down those stairs again. These guys are sure fast when they want to be! :^)

| I'm definitly going to get a babygate. Not sure if I'm really "allowed" too since it's a townhome and anything we do to the outside has to be approved, the gate won't be permanent so I think it should be o.k, but I honestly don't care what they say, I'm not having my babies run away! I feel so dumb because I never thought they would've gotten down the deck stairs so quick w/o me knowing. I've had scares before with Rocky not being leashed so whenever were outside (well except on the deck) he's always on the leash, no exceptions. That was the one place I could bring them outside where they could walk around freely, but not anymore, definitly not worth it

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Oh girl, you must have been scared to DEATH! I know I would have been totally freaking out! I tell ya, you NEVER know with these little ones. You think you really "know" them and know that they won't do these things, and 2 seconds later they are totally out of sight and no where to be seen I guess sometimes they just get the little urge to go exploring I am so glad you found him and that he is now safe with you!!
