| My Romeo is finally home I finally have my little Romeo. He is 8 weeks old now and I've had him for 2 weeks. He is really getting used to his new home. He so cute and playful. He plays a little rough though. My little boys have a hard time playing with him because he nips their little fingers, legs, hands, whatever he can get his little sharp teeth to. I know that this is all about being a puppy and what puppies do, but those little teeth hurt. I've tried not to discourage the nipping because I do know that this is due to teething, but I do try to discourage the nipping on my boys. I normally give him a toy to divert this behavior only to have him nip the toy and then run back to my boys. What can I do to stop this? |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Welcome to YT!! And Congrats on your new Romeo...he sounds like he is adjusting really well to his new family!! Biting is a part of a puppy's life but this can be stopped with some simple training and lots of patience...with our girls we always tapped them on the nose softly and told them no, then we would hand them a toy or a treat when they stopped!! Over time they will realize that biting is a bad thing...I would also suggest that you make sure you have plenty of chew toys so he doesn't find other things to chew on!! Have fun with him and keep us updated!!

| I'd like to post a picture of my little Romeo but I'm having trouble because of the size of the picture. How can I post a picture of Romeo? |

| Welcome to YT. There's a section that tells you how to work with pictures under the section Show us Your Yorkie (I think). There's so many nice people on here that are experts on this that will help you out. Give them a chance to see your post. |
