Do any of you have a special song that you sing to your pooch? I have one song for Codie and one song for Katie. It's part of our morning routine. I usually put on Codie's song first, then I pick him up and we dance around the kitchen. Then I put on Katie's song and do the exact same thing with her. They LOVE it! I do this EVERY single morning - even on the weekend. If one of their song is played on the radio, the get all excited and come running to me so that we can do our special dance. It's so cute.

Katie's song is "You Are The Woman" by Firefall. Except when I sign it to her, I say "You are the KATIE" instead of "You are the WOMAN"

Magic and Sailor both have songs around our house as well...we named both of them after songs actually and when we are in the car they love to listen to their individual songs...

Magic's is Lil Mis' Magic (hence her name) by Jimmy Buffet. While Sailor's is Sail on Sailor by Jimmy Buffet...they both love it when they hear their names in the music!!

Awww, I love this thread! I was going to mention a song I sing to Tiah on the "Mug Yorkie" thread once the "Teapot Yorkie" came up. Here is what I sing to Tiah......oh, I do sing it soft and low, not the more brash way you'd normally sing it....

I sing this because her name is "Tea Leaf" so I just call her my little teapot sometimes

here is her snout

OMG, she loves it! I rub her belly for the belly part and gently run my finger along her snout for the snout part. Her eyes get all droopy and she gets soooo relaxed! God, I LOVE my girl!

My daughter and nephew even sing it to her now, it is so cute.

I sing a song to the You Are My Sunshine song too: You are my Brody, my only Brody. You make me HAPPPPPYYYYY when skies are gray. You'll never know dear how much I love you so please don't take my Brody Dog away. I also sing "Why do you build me up Butterdog baby..." because Brody's nicknames are Buttercup and Butterdog. I have another one... Brody Brody the Wonderdog I'm so glad that your not a frog, or a log, or a hog. I was going to mention a song I sing to Tiah on the "Mug Yorkie" thread once the "Teapot Yorkie" came up. Here is what I sing to Tiah......oh, I do sing it soft and low, not the more brash way you'd normally sing it.... I sing this because her name is "Tea Leaf" so I just call her my little teapot sometimes Mamma's little teapot short and stout here is her belly here is her snout OMG, she loves it! I rub her belly for the belly part and gently run my finger along her snout for the snout part. Her eyes get all droopy and she gets soooo relaxed! God, I LOVE my girl!
