| New to the Yorkie world I've had my Yorkie "Winston" for 5 days. He is doing really well. He is almost 4 months old. Already pad trained and also will go outside. I'm a little nervous about this whole experience. I had a LLaso for 18 yrs, but my yorkie is entirely different. Would appreciate any advice on how to help with the potty training. He has only had two accidents in the house in 5 days. |

| Ive had my yorkie for nine years and he still has accidents in the house. When I first got him I was in an apartment and had to use the puppy pads instead of taking him outside. If and when we get another yorkie we will only use the puppy pads when we are AWAY. I think it is important when you are home to watch the puppies behavior. If he/she starts going around in circles, immediately take him outside. I honestly think my yorkie potties one hundred or more times a day ha ha if only a few drops!! He just loves to hike that leg. I personally feel that training a yorkie to go outside would be much easier and also more sanitary. |

YT Addict | WELCOME! Glad to have u and ur fur baby here! As far as house training, i would suggest just keeping an ear out as best u can so if you hear him walking around on the pad immediately take him outside! AND keep a watchful eye out for the common sniffing of the ground and wondering while sniffing...these 2 things helped me get my odie-man trained in no time! Best of luck to yall both. Hope to see ya around the forum =] |
