| My Yorkie Keeps itching his ears! Batista has not stopped itching his ears since we got him, and even cries as he itches them. My parents have a poodle, and she used to do the same thing so Im thinking it has something to do with the hair in his ears. Anyone know what to do about this? |

| That my friend is an ear infection. Very common but very painful. Get your pup to a vet and they'll give him an antibiotic cream for his ears. Good luck!

| Might be an ear infection...have you looked in there and smelled??? also check to see if there is any brown ooze. Have you plucked the hair in the ears recently (or had the groomer do it)?? I have the vet do it about every 2 weeks

| Take your baby to the vet for a check. It could very easily be yeast infection or mites or both.. They are very easily treated.. Itchy ears make them nuts.. |

| And after you do all of that and get the ears back to a normal state, there is a drying powder that you can buy at pet shops like Petsmart to put in their ears. It can also be put in their ears before you pluck the hair.

| I would take him to the vet also. It could be an ear infection or ear mites.

| I agree, could be an ear infection, ear mite or even sarcoptic mange. Go to the vet. |

| Maggie is the same way. Always scratching at her ears or rubbing them on the carpet or the couch. When we took her to get fixed back in December, they checked her ears and said it was a yeast infection and gave us drops to put in her ears 2-3 a day. Well I think she's probably gotten 3 drops in her ears since then. She's to the point now that if she see's the bottle, she freaks out. She won't let you pick her up or even touch her. If she does let you pick her up, she won't let you get close to her ears. It kills me to see her in so much pain with her ears. Does anyone know how we could possibly get the drops in her ears?? I'm taking her back to the vet next week to see if they can give me anything else. Thanks!! |
