| Please Help!! Possible Pregnency On the 25th of August my boyfriend took my 2 bitches (a yorkie and a Chihuahua) to the park. The Yorkie ran off, which was totally out of character and was set by a male yorkie. His owner said that he had never been neutered and apparently he was locked in her for some time. She wasn't in season but came in to season the very next day. Do you think its possible that she could be pregnant? Her belly isn't particularly swollen but her teats are. She had a phantom pregnancy after her last season. She is a year and 8 months old. It has been exactly 22days since she was set, is it possible to take her to the vet to have a test? I have no idea what to do, every time I attempt to research I keep finding a lot of conflicting information! Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this site and dont know if you receive an email when a reply is posted or are able to email me direct but my email is Saymorgan@aol.com. Thank you. |

| I think the only true way to tell if she's pregnant is to have her tested by the vet. That way you'll know for sure and can stop worrying.

| Well, at least it was another Yorkie, if that's any consolation. I have no idea about whether or not she could be pregnant - sounds like a no to me if she was not in season at the time. Hope all turns out well.

| I'd take her to a Vet. to see if she is pg. and if she was, I'd have her spayed right then and there. I'm not big on getting a "pet" dog and not having it spayed or neutered.

| If she let him and they were locked together for awhile my guess is she was in season and you just had not noticed yet. A trip to the vet will probably make you feel better regardless of what the answer is.
