| X me Can anyone give me any advice on buying the proper sized X pen and what type ( metal or plastic ) . I would like to use one both indoors and outdoors if that is possible . I am worried about the width between the bars for the size of my dog . He is just a wee guy . |

| I've got the one from petsmart (plastic, grey/white & has little diamond shapes in it,?? guess easy wasy to explain) I've had it for her since day one & she was very little- they have them in the store & then you can buy 2 extra panels for it online. Also, I think after I bought mine they had the very SAME xpen online at kmart in the baby (human) section for alot cheaper. It has been a very well purchase, I went to lowes & bought a twenty dollar lin floor remnant to go underneath it.

| I bought the Midwest 540 - 24 gold zinc model at PetSmart for my puppy, who is 4# at almost five months. It has eight panels with a gate, two foot wide each and is 24" tall. I read good reviews on it before I bought it. I really like it and it's supposed to hold up well outdoors in the weather. Check eBay for ex pens. I could have saved over $20 if I'd thought to check eBay before buying it in person. |

| I have 2 of the gold metal ones, and I would suggest a plastic one. One of my girls pee's off the pad and it they are starting to rust. I will be getting a plastic one in the future and using the ones I have now outside only.
