| pregnant mom need advice.. hi everyone today I visit my vet, since my yorkie gal hasn't beed herself lately. and the vet gave me shocking news, that shes pregnant. I never thought she could be pregnant, cause I always watch her... so the father could be a 4 lbs chihuahua, or a 6 lbs yorkie. but my gal is just 4 lbs, and this really concern me... shes around 5 weeks now.. so I have around 3 more weeks to prep myself. the ver already do ultrasound on her, everything looks good. since this is my first time, what kind of things I should watch for? especially with her being small?? any food supplement? the vet just gave me some calsium and multivitamins for kids, he say just feed her normally, cause you dont want the baby become too big...I guess thats make sense... anyone of you whos been there before, pls advice me... im so worried about her safety... |

| You may get more response by putting these in the breeders section. There are several knowledgable breeders that will give you plenty of information. Sorry I can't be of help, as I know nothing about breeding. Good Luck. I hope everythng turns out okay.

| Here is a very good thread that has a lot of the information you need. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...-research.html Please take your time and read through the information and then feel free to ask any other questions you might have. Here is a good website on whelping puppies: Whelping Dogs I recommend feeding her a good quality food. I feed my mommas Canidae and dry Chicken Soup puppy food. I would not start the calcium supplement until after the pups are born. |
