| Skeeter does the wild thing in a unique way! Skeeter is now 4 1/2 months old and loves humping this stuffed wolf we have, but the other night he decided to hump my arm. He was latched on tight and when I lifted my arm up he came up with it. So there he was in mid-air holding on to me with his front legs trying his best to move his little behind up and down with his back legs dangling in the air. I thought I was going to sprain my stomach muscles because I was laughing so hard! I put him back down and he just continued going about his business like he never even noticed his feet left the ground. I think I may get him neutered earlier than expected!!!! |

| Hahaha! That reminds me of Lilly when she used to hump like crazy. One night me and my bf were sitting on the couch watching tv and all of a sudden I hear him saying "AHH EMILY LOOK AHHH" and Lilly was licking his belly button and humping him. Then a few days later she was laying in his lap and while still laying down her butt was doing the humping motion... lmao

| Neutering Not the Answer They don't always stop that when they're neutered! They just like to do it.

| It's not a sexual thing he's doing but a dominance thing. I'd nip that in the bud pronto. Yep, I'd be getting him neutered pronto as well. |

| Linus does the exact same to me! The sad news is -- he was neutered almost six months ago! On an upnote, he will only do it to my arm |

| I would stop this behavior immediately. It's a dominance issue, so neutering won't necessary solve the problem. You don't want him to start doing that to guests.

Does anyone know why this keeps happening? I have received this message twice now, both times I had edited a message I posted. When I hit post it posted this instead!

| You should *try* to not let him do that, I have read you should never let a dog hump any of your body parts, b/c that only reinforces that *he* is the alpha over *you* |

| Wow look at that, I've learned something new today, - dominance - Chewy will try to hump my other smaller male all the time, pillows, etc. yet not try it with the female. I always wondered why he was doing this, now I understand, here I thought the neutering made him mixed up somehow.

I think a lot of people have accused their male dogs of being "mixed up" when they do that! LOL
