| Yorkies and the White House There have been many famous doggies at the white house but I can never recall any of these being yorkies. I was just thinking of this. Maybe one of you should run for office so that we can reach that far and promote yorkie talk to a broader audience. LOL. I think its a great crazy dumb idea just thought I had to share it. |

| Actually Jackie Kennedy at one time had a yorkie along with several other dogs at the White House. It seems John Jr was loving the dogs too much and his mom thought he was becoming a bit of a wuss so she got rid of all the dogs . There is your fun fact for the day Jackie herself showed dogs as a young girl, I think her breed was danes but I don't want to swear to it.John never got another dog until he was with Caroline and the dog he had was a breed you don't hear much of, I wish I could remember. And I think they had one other dog that was smaller. Both dogs were already at the house when they went down in the plane that nite. When Jackie Kennedy died she was surrounded by her favorite things, one was a dog painting. If I am not exact on my facts they are fairly close. |

| Yorkies Tricia Nixon had a Yorkie also. I was asked to donate a Yorkie puppy to Nancy Reagan, but declined. I did not want to pick up the Washington Post and read that my puppy was peeing on the White House carpets. Ditto...Villette for Prez! LOL |

Wow! What an honor! But why donate? Didn't the Reagans have enough to buy the dog in the first place?! LOL- that could have been quite a story... You would have been the only other person in America to know why they were recarpeting the entire White House!! Villette for President! | |

| I noticed " send Barney and e-mail". there is a chance to contact the white house on dog issues. Puppy mills. let Barney know how good he has it while others of his kind are suffering.
