Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | Well Heres One 4 Ya I just read a thread about a dog who humps his toy. It made me think of my Dakota. Heres what he does ever since Ive had him...... He has a donut bed, he carries it around with him, wants you to throw it like a toy, then he sucks on it and kneads his feet on it just like a kitten. Sometimes he humps it. But everyday he sucks it and kneads it. I have never ever seen a dog do this, only cats. Anyone elses do this? |

| I have to put all of Carlos's toys up at night or he will not go to bed so last night he dragged his bed into out room and want me to put it on my bed so that he could play with it. He thinks it is a chew toy. I had to put it up also.

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | Actually, yes! Phantom does this, but he's the only one (out of 5) that does! I think the fuzziness of the bed reminds him of when he used to nurse from his Momma. When they are newborns, they do that to their Mom to get the milk flowing (not the humping, but the "kitten like" behavior) . He just kept this habit, and it seems to comfort him. He does the humping too, it seems to follow the nuzzling and pawing, and sucking!

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | Well Im glad hes not the only one. You should see at bedtime, Dakota brings his bed, Toby Tyler brings his bone, Suki brings her baby koala bear. And if they forget they run in the other room panicky and grab them. |

| Rebel "nurses" and "kneads" on my daughters' fuzzy house shoes. I always thought that maybe he was taken away from his mommy too soon. Sometimes when I ask one of my daughters to do something in the evening, she'll say "I can't, Rebel's nursing my shoe". It makes their shoes all wet and slobbery!

My lil gidget stands over the heater vents and lets the air blow her. I read on a website that another of the puppies where I got her does the same thing. too weird | |

Standing over the heater vent would be great after bath time! Mine hate the blow dryer.
