| My Yorkie-poo looks like a Yorkie Hi All, I have a 20 week old male Yorkie poo. His father is a black poodle and his mother is a Yorkie. He looks all Yorkie! How is this possible. I have seen Yorkie-poos with both poodle and yorkie in them. (Especially the poodle hair!). Even when people first meet him they think he is 100% Yorkie. Can this be possible? Also I was wondering, when you own a male do you still put the cute bows in their hair? I ran this by my husband, and he said don't put a bow in. Thanks Cindy |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | A puppy receives genes from both parents, some genes are dominant and some are recessive. At 4 months it would be hard to tell, but his coat would probably be curlier than most purebred yorkies, and his nose a little longer because these are dominant genes all it takes is one for the trait to show. He'll be smart that's for sure.

| When I went to pick Trixie up a few years ago, she had a brother that looked all yorkie. He was so cute and I would have gotten him but I really wanted a girl and I am very happy with my choice, it just wouldn't be the same around here without my Trixie Poo. So yes it is possible for them to look just like a yorkie, I have seen a couple others as well. As for putting bows in boys' hair, I say go for it!! I have 3 yorkie boys and I put bows in their hair all the time. I just make sure they aren't girly colors like pink, lol.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Jaxon also looked all yorkie (except for floppy years) for well over his 1st birthday, then he started turning silver & black. Now everyone thinks he is a really pretty colored yorkie!!! LOL!!!
