| Bubba and new puppy Hi, I'm a fairly new member and have really enjoyed reading all the posts. I have a male yorkie named Bubba Louie who is 8 1/2 months old. This guy is the love of my life. I have enjoyed Bubba so much that I have put a deposit on a 3 week old male yorkie puppy. I already bought a bag of Chicken Soup puppy food. I have one question, can Bubba eat this puppy food or is he to old for puppy food? Bubba Louie is 3 lbs 1 ounce and full of love and energy. Four years ago I lost my 14 year old yorkie and I still can't get over it. She was the most precious 2 1/2 lb little girl, who's name was Tinker. She loved me and pizza. I met Bubba Louie when he was 7 months old and didn't want a male, I wanted a female like Tinker. I made the mistake of looking into his eyes, and saw my Tinker in them. |

| Welcome and congratulations on your new puppy. My vet said that they should be on puppy food untill a year old. Sometimes longer for yorkies because they are small so puppy food is fine.

| Welcome to the group! At 8 1/2 months old yorkies can go to adult food. But being only 3lbs it would not hurt to keep him on puppy food a little bit longer. |
