| Grrrrr, bad haircuts! Back story: Me and the DH left for 6 months to travel, leaving the kids with the MIL. I remember her calling and telling me their hair was too long for her to care for...so, I referred her to our groomer. I sought this groomer out after 2 1/2 years of looking found someone who could do exactly what I wanted. Well, their hair was "still too long," (that's because they were groomed exactly the way I like them done). When we get home this is what we found, two dang near bald Yorkies. I wanted to scream and cry at the same time, I'm still furious waiting for their hair to grow out, it's looking like another 2 months before I can get a good top knot again. They're still cute I know, just not the babies I expected to come back to. Thanks for listening to my rant, Lord knows I can't say much about it around here. |

| Awww poor bald little babies! What was you MIL thinking? But the bright side is they are healthy and back home... no horrible mishaps! I would cry my eyes out if I had to leave my babies that long. Heck a week is too long! Do they remember you ok and all???

| You bet! Although, it seems an all out one upping contest has started. See, Marilynn had a litter of pups last year, 3 girls, we gave all three to our Grandparents and his parents. His parents were adamant about not wanting animals, not being good with animals (this has obviously been proved WRONG), yet, their dog is so freakin' spoiled it's ridiculous. When we came back our babies had so many little new "quirks," their food had been switched, suddenly they were allowed in bed (big no no at home), they learned to shiver to be held and had been allowed to pee in the garage. Livvy, their dog, hasn't peed on grass since October, she prefers carpet and cement, because it's too cold outside. The typed list of instructions (I'm a little OCD with the kids) had been thrown out the window! They even kept our dogs things after we reclaimed them! Stating- "Oh, those are Livvy's." No, lady, they're not, you buy your own! After they got Livvy "the cutest dog dish in the world," I asked for Marilynn's old dish back, their response? "Oh, you mean Livvy's old one?" Nooooo, Marilynn's stolen one. Every time I go over there, I get to see something new and fabulous they've bought her. So, I'm on a mission to buy whatever they get- only way cuter! GRRRRR! |

Oh yes, they remember just fine. I think they love us more if possible! See, DH, travels for work and asked me to quit my job to come with him. We've gotten to see majority of the north east in the last 6 months, it's been amazing. Originally we planned to take the kids with us, but after a few months we realized how hard it would be to manage two dogs and a cat. I still want to bring my little girl with us, but he says no. As much as I get irritated with his Mother, I can just be grateful they are well taken care of, if not spoiled so much it takes 2 months to get the dogs we know back.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | They still are adorable!!! I don't get what groomers don't understand about trimming. Not totally shaving them!!! About the top knot, I tell them not to cut it. At first I thought this might look funny, but he wasn't shaved just trimmed (go figure, they got it right once) and his face was cut in a puppy cut. Cute as could be!!! There are times I ask for a trim and he looks the same as when I dropped him off!! ugh!!! Anyway, they are adorable and their fur is very healthy and shiny!! It will grow!! Sorry!

At least she says she knows better now, hopefully she'll heed my warning that their hair is to be done by my groomer. When and if we leave again, my Mom has offered to pick them up and take them to my groomer for us. Just so we don't have this little problem again.

| Yeah, no knots to comb out is a very good thing! I went crazy about a year ago trying to find a product for Marilynn's hair that would fix the knots. I figure their hair will be long again, just in time for 100 degree weather! Fun, fun! |
