| Puppy/Dog search. I ran across a ad on puppyfind in KY that says sell out. The ad states that they have several females and a couple of males for sale. Says they are Akc and they have a website. Do you think that its better to purchase an older baby or a puppy. Thanks |

| An ad like that means that a puppymill or backyard breeder is getting out of breeding and is selling all their "merchandise"..in this case dogs and puppies. Do not buy from these people. Research puppymills...they are aweful aweful places where a lot of dogs are kept in cages all their life and bred, bred, bred until they can't breed anymore..then they are disposed of. These dogs are sold to petstores and to people over the internet. They are badly bred and normally have many health problems. They usually have behavioral issues as well as they are kept in cages and not socialized and puppies are ripped from their mother at 6 weeks of age. To find a reputable breeder, go to www.ytca.org They have a breeder referral list for each state. You can also ask for recommendations on here or check out the for sale section. When looking for a breeder, ask several questions...and expect them to ask you a lot of questions in return. It's so important to find a reputable breeder. Good Luck

| Sounds shady, could be a scam or bad breeder like Myfairlacy said.
