| wish me luck!! tomorrow at 2:00 i'm going for a tattoo!! this is my second tattoo. when i was 17 i got stupid stars on my hip and have regretted it ever since. i hate too many but i think they are so neat when done in a classy way. this time i waited until i was sure i really wanted this and it is symbolic to me. my father and i don't have a great relationship. when i was a little girl i was the biggest daddies girl in the world. believe me i was daddies princess. when i was in 5th grade he was diagnosed with terminal, stage 3 cancer in his jaw. he went through quite a struggle and distanced himself from our family for a long time. the doctors told him he had 3 months to live and i think he didn't want to become any more attached to us. now its been 8 years and he's still alive... the sad thing is he isn't the same daddy he used to be. we don't speak at all. when i was 15 i still lived at home and we went 2 years LITERALLY not saying ONE word to each other. i moved out with my now hubby when i was 17 and my dad and i didn't speak for the remaining 3 years. this year my mom divorced him and he called me out of the blue. we are starting to try and put the pieces back together. its hard but i think its worth it. so i decided to get a princess crown on the back of my neck to symbolize that even through years of not speaking deep in my heart i'll always be my daddies little princess. i'm nervous!!

| Glad to hear that your relationship is starting to be rekindled. Good luck with your new start (and the "tatoo").
