| Getting puppymill puppy tomorrow I am going to drive 200+ miles tomorrow to pick up a little chihuahua puppy that was rescued from a puppymill. She is 9 months old and only weighs 2.5 pounds. She seems to be healthy and will have all of her shots, etc. She doesn't have any tail at all and they think her mother chewed it off when she was born. She has just been out of the puppymill for 10 days and doesn't know anything about being loved or having good things in her life, she doesn't know what toys are or what it means to have her own bed. She has spent all of her life in a cage. I am going to bring her home and just love her. She doesn't have to do a thing, just enjoy herself and be a puppy. There's plenty of time for potty training and leash training all that stuff. I have two Bichons, a 10-year-old spayed female, Lacy, and a 9-year-old neutered male, Cosmo. They are both very calm and gentle and will get along fine with the puppy, I'm sure. I adopted a little miniature poodle a few months ago and they accepted her just fine. She went to live with a great family. I will be keeping this little one and I think her name will be Princess Kozanna. She hasn't been spayed yet because of her size. I will talk to my vet and have her spayed as soon as my vet thinks it's safe for her. I am anxious to get her home and start loving her and treating her like the little princes she is! The picture isn't very good and I'll post better ones when I get her home. The second picture is Lacy and Cosmo. |

| Congratulations to you & your new baby. These puppymill people should be put in cages, not jail cells - that's too nice, a cage with wire on the floor & no shoes and no toilet, with dirty water & stale food that they have to fight other puppymill owners for - then see how they like it. Sorry went off on a tangent there, anyway... I am so glad she found you so she can have the love, attention & playmates she deserves.

Yes, she is a Christmas blessing and I thought about naming her just that, Christmas Blessing, and calling her Chrissy, but Princess Kozanna seems to fit her. My family decided not to get each other Christmas presents this year and to give the money to whatever good cause we liked. I'm spending my Christmas money on this little girl. Can't think of a better way to celebrate the season of love and giving. She has a nice crate, new toys, and a big, soft fleece throw all her own. She will get a harness and leash and a cuddle bed and some warm sweaters and coats. She has her own dish and I have soft brushes for her. There will be presents under our tree for Lacy and Cosmo and Kozanna this year. | |
