| When I got Roxy at 4 months she started to silver on the top of her head. Her head was half silver half black. People asked me are you sure you did get an old lady (lol) maybe Roxy's mom. Her head now at 7 months going on 8 is all silver.

| Rockie is 6 months and he was the tan, silver and black; he was groomed 11/22 into the puppy cut. Now he has the black and silver on his head and back Some furbabies change colors well after a year old. Last edited by charly; 11-23-2007 at 06:02 PM. |

| Parker is just about 4 months and his head is half grey and black (I tell people he has bad roots and needs to get his hair done ) His paws are turning from black to a carmel and the rest of him is all black. But from what I have read they can continue to change for at least a year or more!! |

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | From what I've learned (here), puppies go through several color changes up until the age of 2years. At that point, wysiwyg. I think(?) she was about 6months, when Abigail had a white shock of hair right smack in the middle of her head. Her body was all black, with gold/tan feet. Then, gradually, the white turned to tan/gold, and her saddle is breaking to the silver/blue she should be. I can't wait to see what she'll look like in another year!

| I think all of them change color at their own pace!! Our male changed before he was a year, Lex is changing now at 4 years, and Davie has not changed at all!! Go figure!!

| Sammy is 8 months I posted a similar questions last week and I can't find the thread. Sammy is 8 months, and only the top of his head to the beginning of his shoulders has turnedkind of grayish/sliver? and his legs and paws are light brown. the rest of his body is black, althoug my daughter says he looks lighter than he did months ago. i wanted to know like how long does it take for a Yorkie to change color. Thanks |
