| combination fur? Is it possible to have 2 different types of fur on one dog? Buddy gets the greasies on the hair on his head and this hair gets sort of lanker very quickly after bathing, but his body is very thick and fluffy and cottony feeling and never looks greasy. Does their adult hair come through first on their head could that be why theres a difference? anyone else have a combination pup??

| That could be true, is the head color still black? It is probably hard to tell until they grow their adult coat. Be careful of not washing all the soap out of their head and ear area. I decided one day I was not rinsing my boy well, because he is wiggly and I don't want to get water in his eyes. But he kept scratching his ears, and one day I was brushing him still wet behind his ears and it was bubbly. That is when I started rinsing a little better.

| thanks laura, the tips of his hair on his head are still black but with big roots in a sort of silver beige colour growing through, his body is all black though no light roots anywhere. I noticed too i didnt rinse his head that well after a bath (afraid of drowing him!) but now im braver with him and he gets well rinsed.

| hair Sometimes the hair on the head is greasy from conditioner..I do not use it from the neck up. I do use a water based coat dressing on the facial furnishings and ear hair. Also, human hand lotions can get on them when we pet them. |

| This is interesting! Sully, I think, is the same way....but he's 11mo. old (well, almost) but I just figured it was transitioning from puppy hair to adult coat? We're going to get him groomed this weekend, so we'll see how that changes or doesn't.
