New member here On this sad day on YorkieTalk I decided I needed to post to express my deepest sympathies to those who lost their babies today. I have been registered and reading for a while now. And enjoy the info , comraderie and stories. Today I have been heart struck over the losses here. A year ago I lost my friend and mommy to my litter Piper (my avatar) My daughter (sillyjacki) has recently got a Yorkie puppy and we have been nursing her back to health as she has been very sick with relocation stress. We almost lost her. But she is coming up now. I am still mourning the loss of my Piper and am considering a little Yorkie for myself down the road. Jacki's Roxy is burrowing into our hearts.

Welcome to our world on such a sad day. We hurt each time any one loses a beloved one no matter the species, breed, size or age. But, three young ones in a week-end is pretty much to bear. So, we will move on and eventually our lives will get back to some sort of order--never to forget our lost babies.

Firefish, Welcome to YT! Wondering the name Firefish? There is a salt water fish, known as Firefish, which I have by the way, which happens to be a beautiful critter. Would you happen to have saltwater fish? Just curious. Anyway, welcome. We'd love to hear more from you. ~Bella, General Patton, & Maria~

lol Good question. I have a 67 Barracuda (for 26 years) I recently restored and am a moderator on a car website. I was to put flames on the front...so it was to be "FireFish" Still goes by that name. So, my name on that site is FireFish and I keep it for this one. Thanks for asking. The second pic is one of Piper and her litter (2, they usually have 4) Lost her to damaged kidneys..they were damaged when she was newly born, they believe.

Not exactly the FIREFISH I was thinking about, but your Firefish seems like a gem. I have two saltwaterfish tanks, one a fish only and the other a reef tank. So, of course, the name caught my attention. Welcome again, ~Bella, General Patton, & Maria~

Welcome FireFish. I, too, lost my pug last year and you never quite get over it. My Chewy is making me happy no though. I had no idea about little Roxy being sick. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. She sure is a cutey, you must be proud of your little grand-dog .

Very happy with her. Roxy is a fighter. She was one very sick little girl. She lost 1/3 or her weight but is on the upswing now . She is up to 1 1/4 pounds solid and gaining. She is sleeping a lot but Dr said that is to be expected with all she went through. We have been up around the clock for over 2 weeks. She bottomed out and wasn't matabilizing her food. Her body wasn't pulling nutrician from it...not even sugar. It was really scary. Yep she sure is worth it though. I kept one of the puppies from Pipers litter and her name is Libby...she loves Roxy. We monitor very carefully interaction at least until Roxy is up to speed. The Dr thinks that had a good effect on her. She missed her old home and litter mates.
