| Break out those old jeans I made Reagan a coat out of a pair of my old jeans. I think it turned out pretty cute. Don't look too close at her though she's a little ratty, although I don't think it shows up as much in the pics so just imagine how she looks in person. I ran out of velcro to attach to the strap that goes under her belly so it isn't completely finished yet. I cheated and used a pin to hold it up for the pictures. I'm thinking it would also be cute if I figured out a way to use buttons like are on jeans, but we'll just have to see about that. Anyway here are the pics...

| Forever In Bluejeans!!!! That is pretty clever....yep...did you come up with your own pattern for that? So cute! You could even sew that ribbon beading on the edges that they sell in the craft store now...all colors...blue to match the jeans would be cute...or pink for the girls... Nice idea...give us more tips! LOL

| Thanks guys. Its actually a simplicity pattern and I'm in the progress of looking for it right now to give you guys the number. Some one may know which one it is. Its the one with the people scarfs and gloves then has a few small dog coats. Its actually really easy. I've had to play with it a little bit to get it the right size and also I sew it just a bit different. I think they use two pieces of fabric and I didn't so its a little different, mainly to make sure the seams don't show. I also do fleece coats with the same pattern. Yeah I thought about the ribbon and such once I was done. I originally thought about turning under the edges and seaming them surging them but decided not to and just let them fray. I thought it would be cute. I'm also trying to get a t-shirt pattern so I can take some of my old shirts, that are either two small or what not and make her shirts out of them. I figure if I can't wear my fav shirts anymore someone should be able to. I'll keep looking for the pattern number. I can also send it to anyone who wants it, somehow.

| Thanks chattiesmom, but it wasn't really creative. I just got a pair of my old jeans and used a store-bought pattern. I've also made fleece coats with the same pattern. Oh and sorry for not posting this before the pattern is a Simplicity pattern number 4780. If anyone else makes a coat remember to post pics.
