| Have you thought about phoning round Maltese Rescues and bringing a young dog into your home? I know when I was looking at getting another I decided on not getting a pup because of the work that is involved and also the time I needed to split between Gypsy, Amelia, the new puppy and also the house work, not to mention the few minutes I get to spend on myself each day. I also thought of when Amelia would be mobile and the puppy still not being very big and if she fell on the puppy she could really hurt it, plus I didn't like the idea of little puppies jumping up her or nipping at her feet while she's crawling/walking and also the little accidents that puppies leave everywhere that I would hate for Amelia to go crawling, walking or falling into. They are my thoughts and opinions though and not everyone feels the same, I was just worried for Amelia and a small puppies safety and didn't like the idea of having to confine a puppy to an area most of the day while Amelia is playing. Maybe this is something you could also consider... I know I felt really good about myself bringing Kayla into our home and giving her a secure home which she'd never known before. Otherwise, look on the Kennel Club website for accredited breeders and look on YT's sister site MalteseTalk there are UK members on there also.

| Before I got Mika, I was thinking about a Maltese but the majority I found were scams too. I have come across a few ads since though around the Liverpool area that seem to be genuine if you can travel that far. They generally sell for around £1000-£1200 though and some are not even KC reg What are you willing to pay? How far exactly do you think you might travel? And is KC reg important to you? I'm assuming you will want a youngster as you have a baby. I'll look around for you

| Good luck in finding a pup...I will keep my eyes peeled for any ads that are not scams....I think the only hope you have is a YOUR DOG magazine ad or the Kennel Club breeders list....if you google up Maltese UK, or dog breeds list uk, you may come up with breeder homes to try....I know what you mean about being home all day...if that is what you'd like and can manage why not ! ............I have 4 Yorkies and a Bearded Collie and 3 cats and hamsters and a tortoise !
