Default Southern California Yorkie Meet-up 10/13/07

We have a location for the 4th OFFICIAL So-Cal Yorkie Meetup!!

This meetup will be held on Saturday, October 13, at 1:30pm at:

English Springs Park
2201 Grand Avenue (at the corner of Grand Avenue and Chino Hills Parkway)
Chino Hills, CA 91709

Mapquest Link to this location

There are pictures of this gorgeous park posted in the photos section of the So-Cal yorkie meetup yahoo group, in the folder titled "Park Maps."

Please reply in this thread if you can make it.

More information:
The parking at this park is free, but very limited; however, there is a grocery shopping center just across the street, and there are several signalled crosswalks (for safe crossing). This park's major feature is a huge duck pond (with turtles too!) and a waterfall. There aren't a lot of picnic tables, so you'll probably want to bring a blanket to sit on or a lawn chair.

We'll also need a couple of x-pens if anyone is willing to bring one.

Teddi and I will be there....I may bring my neice an nephew because they live right there in Philliips Ranch. Can't wait to see everyone again. It has been a long time.

Teddi has to go to the vet tonite to see about getting all her teeth out....I'll let you know how it goes.

YAY!It's time for another Yorkie Palooza!! Mango and I will be there for sure! I can bring an ex-pen like I did last time, if y'all want. I think it's a great setup for the furkids, to keep them contained and safe.

Just a warning for all the Mama's - remember to have your babies' Parvo shots up to date; there is still a serious epidemic going on with this dreadful disease.

Can't wait to see y'all.
Hugs,
Lauren

Ronda - I hope Teddi's appt goes well. Sukoshi had 10 baby teeth pulled when we had her spayed, and she was ready to eat her hard kibble the next day! I was amazed! I hope Teddi does just as well!

Misty - OR...maybe it had nothing to do with not being spayed, and Chloe is just all that and a bag of chips SEXY !!!!!!!!!

Lauren - That would be great if you would bring your x-pen again. Thank you! Also, how often do they need parvo shots? Sukoshi got hers with all her puppy shots, but does she need a yearly booster of that one? I don't think that's on our list of things of upcoming shots!

However I will be at the "Bark at the Park" event this Sat,, It would be so nice to meet up with who ever can make it.

Cal (slixs) has come a couple times with his wife (Cal is actually the YT member...not his wife Cindy ), and my husband, Matt, came once, but other than that, we don't normally have guys there. I haven't heard from Cal yet, and I haven't even asked Matt if he wants to go to this one . We did have a couple other hubbies stop by for the first one, but they didn't stay long . We would LOVE to meet your hubby too if you can convince him. I'll ask Matt if he's interested in going to this one, and I'll let you know. Of course, I think he may be going with me to the Bark in the Park this weekend, so that may be enough doggie events for him for the month , so we'll see ! By chance is your hubby into cars? I know Matt would much prefer to talk about cars than dogs at one of these things !!!!

I'm going to try my best to make it. I really want to see everyone! I went to my Dr. today and he raised my meds/shots, so I'm counting on feeling well enough to go out for this one. I'll more than likely be bringing my husband along....he's as crazy about Molly's special events as I am.

I'm crossing my fingers for good weather and good health

Lisa, Mango had the same puppy shots, her last one being around April, but I received a notice yesterday from my Vet that she must have another this month. I know their efficacy only lasts a certain amount of time. With such a dangerous virus, I know Mango will definitely be having another dose this week.
Can't wait to see everyone!! I will bring the ex-pen.
