| Groomer Recommendations in South Bay Hello, I took my Yorkie to a local Petsmart and although I did not see what happend because they asked me to leave my dog and come back for it in 3 hours, but I think they were not very gentle with her. She is very friendly and playful and does not mind being combed. But when she saw the comb next time I had to brush her after this groomer - she went crazy!! Tried to get away as hard as she could. I know she can be hard to manage as she tries to escape when I give her baths, but she is manageable with more patience and time. Anyways, I am definitely looking for a new groomer now. Someone who is willing to spend more time with my cutie and have more patience. I am located in North San Jose. Any recommendations for groomers in the area? Thanks!! |

No Longer a Member | Sorry, I'm in So Cal, so I can't help you. But I wanted to let you know that the California threads disappear into all the other threads, that's probably why you're not getting any answers. Good luck. Hopefully some of the northern CA people will see this! |

| i think you told me that you go to VCA vet for your dog. they also do dog grooming, have you tried there? My friend recommended me Carmelita's Grooming on Capitol and Mckee. I might try there once when I think my dog needs a groom. |

| Im in Northern Cali so Im not much help... I would say to use your local yellow pages... There are so many smaller grooming services available - Petsmarts not the only and Im sure not the best... Hope this helps...

| Don't go the PetSmart in Milpitas that is next to WalMart. They were the ones who were too lazy to give the extra attention that my scared dog was asking for. I was actually thinking of trying the grooming at VCA. They take REALLY GOOD care of my little one. And she is not scared to go there because of all the attention and treats she gets when she goes in. I'll let you know how that turns out. |

| I missed it. My pup got spayed last week and she needed to stay calm this weekend so we couldn't go. Did you get a chance to meet this groomer? |
