| Ok Im new and Im looking for........... a Yorkie. I would take either a male or female as I want 2 of them. Im in the L.A. are but wouldnt mind a drive as well. Im up for all the way to the bay area as well. What should I expect to pay, i see from 750 to 3000. Phewww 3000 being the smaller ones which I hear can be not so good, anyone else hear this do to health problems? Thanks john |

| I would search YTCA.org for a reputable breeder in your area. I would stay away from breedes claiming they sell "tea-cups" as most of them are only using that description to make more money. Alot of them do have health problems and alot of them are not "tea-cups" as adults. Do lots of research before purchasing a Yorkie. |

| Thanks thats what i thought. I seen this pet store MYpets and hes expensive and very secretive about letting you see the whole litter at once. im like that doesnt make sense and seems fishy |

| my 2 cents..... I would go for a larger size boy... just cuz they are so much fun! I have a tiny girl and a big boy... he is too cool and feisty fun! Good luck, stick with a YT breeder if you can..... good luck! OH, welcome to YT! d

| welcome to yt hi welcome to yt i would buy from a YT member if i were you never a pet store most puppys in pet stores come from the Hunt corp a huge puppy mill corp that ships all breeds in with out proper care as far as litters my vet has a litter out of my yorkies right now i know he has done all xrays blood tests and ext and i know of a litter that will be in the 4 to 5 pound range if you want to know more pm me and i will give you Deb's email address she is in central ca. | Hi and welcome to YT!! My best piece of advice would be to stay away completely from petstores...They claim to "know where their dogs come from" and that they come from reputable breeders, but that is not the case. They come from puppymills and do not have any health testing done to the parents. Find a reputable breeder Good luck in your search!!
