| general conservation? I know the babies are so little. I actually ask them on the first call, who the puppy is for? How old are your children? Do you have a fenced yard? What happened to your last dog? HOw old was it? Who would be with the puppy when you are at work? Who is your vet? Do you plan to breed? Do you have any other animals? What are they? INside or out? I will not sale my little yorkies to anyone who have smALL CHILDREN. THEY MUST NOT HAVE A LARGE DOG PERIOD. Oh I didn,t mean to shout. Children will let a small yorkie fall of beds and couches. They don't mean too but they forget so easy. Yorkies must be over a year the vet said before we allow them to jump up and down of couches etc. They will break their small little legs It is our job to protect them. Gloryblu |

| I would ask for Vet. reference for sure and I would have adoption forms for prospective moms and dads to fill out with all the questions on it that you want to know. You can ask if they have kids, and if so how old. You can ask how many live in the house. You can ask if they have a fenced yard, what type of fence, how long will the dog be left alone during the day, ask for three references that are not family members. I would also do a home check if I were you, and if they live too far away, then call around to the local shelters in the area and see if they have an volunteers that would do a home check for you. |

| I start asking questions to the point of embarassment!!! There's nothing too taboo to ask when it comes to placing a baby! And if you've got some good buyers, they won't mind you asking. So far, I have never gotten pushback on any questions. It's better to go too far than not far enough and have the pup go to a bad home. Good luck!

| Heck YES it is absolutely OK! I have found their vet is a great source of information, especially if they have been with them for a while. Who better than a professional to tell you what kind of owners they are? If they are responsible and have the best intentions, they shouldn't mind you asking either. It's the one who object that I would worry about. |
