| Our Kennel is darn near complete! This has been a long time coming. It took almost a year because my brother in law and hubby did it all when they had free time. I just love it and my adult dogs do too! Puppies are still raised in the house then if their ready at 8-9 weeks they go out for another experience. They love running in and out of the doggie doors. They look so proud of themselves and strut when they figure it out. It is so wonderful to have a place to groom and bath and have things organized. Its not very big on the inside (12 runs) but we were working with an existing building. BUt its cozy, homey, and I hate to clean but love cleaning the yorkie house. When people come they can see our whole yorkie family and I love that. I think they like it too! No guessing what is behind the mystery door.........lol. Im so grateful, its like a dream come true for me. These are the only pictures I have right now but wanted to share them, along with my enthusiasm. I just love my hubby for giving one of the best gifts he could have ever gave me. |

| What a nice hubby! The room looks great! (is it an out building or garage)? We are gonna be working on a new room for our little angels also and was trying to get some ideas. Our little ones live in our home with us now. I have an attached garage that is right off the kitchen and was thinking of making it a yorkie house, it already has drywall and electric. I hate doing it but I have a 20 month old son who is acting like a boy! I have five older daughters and I never had a problem with them. This little guy is all boy running around acting like his a super hero! IM afraid for my little ones until he grows up a little. Meanwhile your pictures gave me some ideas I think someone needs to start a thread on show us your doggies home! or kennel! It might just help everyone a little and give us some great ideas! |

| That looks great Kelly!! I would really love to be able to do something like that. Who know, maybe in the future I can. I think that's a great idea for others to show how their kennel or home is set up for their Yorkies. Can't wait to see if others post pictures.

| Thank you!! A kennel will never take the place of yorkies being in the home. I think that is the best place. Yorkies in the home with their owner being spoiled rotten have the best lifes no arguing with that!!! That is the ideal placement. But my dogs do have a good life and we love them. They are pets too. We plan to fence in a grassy area soon for free running, but that will be awhile. Hubby needs a break. Individually or in pairs they get run of coming in the house and the yard, but our yard is not fenced and its dangerous, they have zero traffic sense. Letting 12 ofthem all out at once right now would be a circus act. |

| Wow that looks really nice. It looks plenty big enough, how big are each of the cages? Do they each have their own run on the outside too, or does it go into one big yard? If they each have their own, how big are they and is it concrete or grass? I'm not picking at you, just curious cause it looks so convenient. Is this what the Dept of agriculture requires? |

| DUH!!! I just realized how dumb that one question was. If they could get together on the outside they could also go into each others cages via the doggie doors. Well maybe two separate areas one for boys and one for girls? |

| I dont think your picking at me. I beleive the individual areas are 3x5 on the inside, and bigger on the outside for each run to the outside. Ill get a picture up soon of the outside. My husband would know better. Its concrete outside, they dont allow gravel here. It also has its own separate septic system required, yes its built to code, for inspection soon. | Dorky Yorkie's Family, I am so jealous. I dream of the day I can have something like that for my precious babies. I just wanted to ask are all of your yorkies your pets? Mine live in my home, but we are going to work this Spring on a separate room for them. My husband has fallen in love with my babies too. I think I really brought out the best in him when I got these precious yorkies. We have a yorkiepoo and a pekipoo, plus Molliemae, Abbi and Cody. They all get along just fine and are like children to us. More like babies. I enjoy reading and seeing photos of all of your precious babies. I love mine so much and they will someday have their own little place, but for now, they are in my kitchen, living room, bedroom anywhere they want to be. They truly think they are human. If only they could talk. They almost do. Each has their individual personalities and I love everyone of them. Again, I just love your place. God bless, Thanks for sharing, Jan |

I think what you have set up is very nice and is as close to having them in your house as possible. But I think it's ridiculous that the dept of ag actually "makes" you keep dogs in cages. Good job | |
