| Tails are docked I wish I lived closer to someone who does the clamp and twist. I just took my four little ones to the Vet to have the procedure done and it's been an hour and they are still whimpering. Not like they did at first, but it just breaks my heart. Poor Emilee just doesn't seem to know what to do. I just checked again and they are a little quieter. Guess I'm not really needing advice, I don't know, but having this done hurts my heart as much as it must their tails.

| you will do fine. just don't be startled like I was when it cries a little when you put the clamp on. it just takes seconds and it's over. make sure you put your clamp RIGHT where you want to cut. i felt awful the first one and was very nervous. i just knew I was killing it. you and the babies will be fine. I will never do it any other way. |

| Horrible! Brutal! I can't believe what I'm reading here on yorkie talk. Docking? Try MUTILATION! Chopping off animals tails is against the law in the EU (that's European Union) and for good reason- it's called CRUELTY TO ANIMALS! Young yorkies in France all have their tails and they're beautiful. There is no reason to continue such a brutal and inhumane practice. I assumed that since the USA is so far ahead of the rest of the world (or used to be anyway ) in technology and civil rights issues that something like widespread and socially accepted animal mutilation was in the past. I'm glad I've found a worthwhile cause that must be addressed to help yorkies across the states. |
