| 5 week old pups.....how much food should they be eating? I hope some of the breeders can help me with this. Katie is not feeding them much now ( 4 times a day maybe and not long at a time) and I am offering the puppy mush 3 times a day but it just doesn't seem like they are eating much of it? How much should they be eating at this age? They are not losing any weight and gained a little this past week but I can tell that Katie does not have much milk. I tried the mush with the replacement milk but they would not have it so I am just mixing some canned with a little cottage cheese and some softened dry. I am only making probably a couple of tablespoons? at a time and they dont even eat half of it. Is this enough? I am just worried that they are not getting enough but they act happy and playful. Any advice please??

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I would start cutting back on mom feeding the pups. Even though she may not be as full, you'd be surprised at how much is actually in there. Normally at this point, I do not let mom in at all to feed the pups. Continue with the canned food. You can also take puppy food and crush it up (but not powdery). It will help their teeth push though.

| I agree, pups don't even need Mom's milk anymore! Good Luck!
