| A pregnant Bitch can suffer from preeclampsia by supplimenting calcium beyond the amounts found in a high quality puppy food. A nursing Bitch can suffer from eclampsia by either poor diet or excessive milk production. Its always best to suppliment with natural foods in their diet like cheese, goats milk and plenty of protein mixed into their puppy dry food several small meals a day until pups are weaned.
