YT 500 Club Member | Getting A Yorkie With 2 Cats Hi, I was wondering if anyone got a yorkie that already had a cat. I have two cats. One is 5 years old and the other 2. I am so nervous that they will all fight. I heard terriers love to chase cats. If you have been in this situation. How did you introduce them? Thanks |

| It really depends on the yorkie's personality and the age of the yorkie. If you get your yorkie as a puppy then they should all adjust just fine. If you are getting an older yorkie then it could present some problems, depending on the yorkie and how it was raised. You also have to consider if your cats have been around dogs. Some cats can be pretty mean to dogs.

| I have 4 cats and 2 yorkies. Mine were kittens and my yorkies adults but now they are 4 and we have never had an issue with the yorkies and cats. My Jewels who is smaller than the cats is the enforcer of the cats if they get out of line she puts them in their place. One of my cats even trys to play with the yorkies but they wont play with her

| Have your cats been around dogs? Puppies do like to play, and chase.. As long as they don't attack a puppy, you should be fine. Puppies usually adapt better than adults. |

| We had 2 cats when we got Couver. He tried to play with them and they weren't super impressed at first, but once they got acquainted... everything was great. Occasionally he will chase them and they will run, but we don't have any real issues with the 2 yorkies and 2 cats.
