| newby Hello from Texas, I have always LOVED Yorkies , but have never owned one. I Would love to know if anyone has a reputable breeder in the Houston area so I can buy my first Yorkie. I have read so many Horror stories about puppy mills and would like to steer clear of those types of breeders. Thank you for any help !!! |

| You are correct - beware of the puppy mills. There are a number of Texas folks on YT and I'm sure one of them will give you some help. Once you are bitten (so to speak) by a Yorkie you will never be able to go back

| Hello and welcome....I'm glad your aware of the many issues when it comes to the purchase of a pup. If you go to this section there's some stickies at the top of the page with some helpful tips. Yorkies For Sale or Wanted - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community One of the places you can try contacting a breeder through is the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America and see if they have any upcoming litters. You will still have to be careful this is no guarantee of not having problems. Take your time and ask a lot of questions. Good luck in your search.
