| Heat? Bella is 8 months old and hasn't had her first heat yet. Tonight for the first time she was trying to hump my arm during playtime. Is this a sign she's going to go into heat?

| Sorry, more to add. She also seems more aggressive and her ears have flopped down. No swelling or bleeding.

| Hi Kathy and Bella! Mounting/humping is a common behavior with toys , other dogs and even people to establish dominance and is not uncommon especially with the onset of maturity when they feel the need to establish their dominance more effectively- but I was wondering the same thing about my girl! She has always had her favorite sheep but she has been mounting everything lately!' She is just nine months. Same here, no bleeding or swelling but she has just been a little extra 'crazy' this week and went we went to the park she was really sniffy and peed and pooed outside for the FiRST time in her life one after the other. She is a potty pad girl. Any of these other things for your girl happening? I'm so glad you brought this up, I will be watching for these seasoned veterans replies and cross referencing my dorky yorkie library good luck and thanks for the thread!

| Hi Alyssa and Lilah! Bella always goes outside, we have a doggy door. I haven't seen her hump anything else. We have also had some big changes at my house lately. My stepson and then my daughter and 2 grand kids moved in. I wonder if she could be reacting to the chaos?

| The first thing I noticed with Kyra was swelling. It will be quite obvious and also discharge. She also started licking herself a lot.
