| mommy weaning pups pups are four weeks old. mom not allowing them to nurse as often is this normal as far as time goes. am putting food and water in cage. canned eucanuba and puppy pellets. also water is warm. any other suggestions would helpfull. thanks |

| Maybe let some of the hard food soak in water and artificial milk supplement? Just something else to try also. |

| Sure thats very normal for a female to start decreasing nursing at 4 weeks. Are the pups eating? As long as they arent losing weight and gaining sounds okay to me. You might want to get a base weight now and weigh them again tomorrow or the next day, that will tell you alot. If they are gaining they are doing ok. You may only see a very tiny increase but you dont want to see them losing weight. |
