| Recommend a puppy scale I am currently using a Oneida food scale. I was working great for the first few days until the puppies started squirming so much while being in the bowl. I almost rushed to the emergency room the other day because one of my pups weighed in a 6 oz, after weighing 8 oz the previous day. Then last night, one pup weighed 10.1 oz one minute and the next weighed 7oz, and then 5oz. Clearly this scale is not going to do the trick anymore, since it's made to weigh food and food doesn't squirm around crying because it misses it's mommy!!! I need to find a reasonably priced digital scale that locks in the weight, since my pups are getting to be pretty active. Any suggestions??? |

| I'm not a breeder, but I just recently bought this baby scale to replace the postage scale I'd been using. The surface is much bigger, it's very sturdy and it's been accurate. I also like that I can line it with a towel to prevent tiny feet from slipping around. I'm just sorry I didn't buy one sooner. Amazon.com: Salter 914 Electronic Baby and...

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | How about a digital postal scale? That is what I used for my babies. You need one that you can zero out. I used a little basket/bucket, put that on the scale - zeroed it out (to not weigh the container) and then put the puppies in. It kept them in place during weighing.

| This is the scale I have, it's used in vet offices....a bit more pricey than the other one recommended, but it has a lifetime warrantee. If anything goes wrong with it...you put it in the mail, they send you a brand new one. Salter Brecknell MS20 Infant/Animal Scale - 44 lbs Capacity

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I use a vegetable scale that comes with a bowel that has a edge to firmly sit in place. I purchased it at Wal Mart. Work great, especially for the more active ones. If you do get one be sure that the scale is set to ( 0 ) with the bowel in place before weighing the pups.
