Default Breeding Mentor in or around Southern Maryland

Hello Everyone,
I am really interested in breeding Yorkies one day and am looking to find a mentor in my area (Southern Maryland). Of course I have been and will continue to do my research, talk to breeders, read books, etc., but I truly believe that nothing teaches better than hands on experience. If there are any breeders in or around Southern Maryland, or anyone knows of anyone, who would be interested in taking me under their wing, please contact me. I don't know what is usually done in exchange (i.e. money, help with the dogs / puppies), but I am open to anything. Thank you!

Default Thank you!

Thank you. While I have never met or spoken to her, I have heard her name many times, including from the breeder that I bought my Biewer as Rini has purchased Biewers from her as well. Thanks again!

Yes, I just have the one, so far. We just got her last Friday from Michele and she is such a doll. We just love her to pieces already! I'm not at my home computer right now and don't have my pictures saved on this computer, but I do have some more posted in my gallery if you would like to go there and see them. You have two Biewers? How many dogs do you have in all? How old are they? Got pictures? Sorry, I bet you didn't plan on playing 20 questions this early in the morning!

Default Speechless

I am COMPLETELY speechless. You are a BRAVE, BRAVE person! And I love that you went from one extreme to another with the Yorkies and then the Great Dane! Wow, I am going to be telling everyone about you and all that you have as everyone always teases me that I will have to buy a farm one day as I just love animals. Well I know one thing, if I ever need to learn how to mutitask and better manage my time, I'm coming to you for lessons!

Stop for a moment and consider the fact that I might just be flipping crazy, not brave??? LOL!
I did have a farm, but chose the critters (2 and 4 legged) over the acreage and left that with the ex husband.

Wow, I'm jealous! I would love to have a farm.....although all I really want is a horse. Definitely jealous of how well you handle everything, whether you are brave or crazy, or a little of both! Think you will give in and buy the parrot? By the way, what is your name? Mine is Jennifer, Jenny, Jen.....really depends on how much you feel like typing.

I haven't decided about the parrot...my daughter had finches a long time ago and I had a parakeet growing up. The last time I gave in to a new pet, was baby dragons (anoles) from the renaissance fair, and after two weeks I was the one that fed them the damn live crickets for over two years 'til they finally went to lizard heaven.
might be settling for parakeet.
