| ?? This is a common procedure in the dog/animal breeding world. The cost is different for each vet. Mine usually charges around $60.00 and does 3 AI breedings. First the bitch needs to be checked to see how far alone she is in her heat cycle to be AI'd at the optimum time. The studs sperm is checked to see how viable it is.

| My vet said it would be around $200-$300 but it may have included the progesterone testing that is usually done along with the AI to be sure they have the optimal time. If you're getting frozen or chilled sperm - they just don't live as long as fresh. Also, my vet said that it's pretty easy and something you could learn to do on your own. |
