I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I'm so sorry about your friends puppy, this looks like a really bad place to buy a dog from. Probably not much your friend go do. What did the vet say was the problem? A word of caution, don't ever buy a pup from a breeder who uses the word "teacup" many ethical breeders have smaller yorkies, but they are forbidden from using the word "teacup," so this is a tip off that the breeder doesn't follow good breeding rules, and is only breeding for the money. Buying from a website is worse than buying from a Pet Store, your friend probably won't get any money back, but sometimes they will replace the dog with another. I don't think there is anything the police can do about this. Did she pay by Visa? Sometimes credit card companies can help.

Honestly that site makes me sick to my stomach. Do you really think they have hundreds of pups on the premises? Do you think they even send the pup from the picture? Crazy sick people out there.

| What state do you live in? Some states have puppy "lemon" laws for a short period of time after the purchase. Other than that, if she didn't get a good health guarantee, there probably isn't much she can do. It's buyer beware when buying a puppy on the internet. Many people just don't do their homework before they buy, and learn an expensive and heartbreaking lesson. |

| Well, I don't know about anything big every having 'gone down' on YT where you can't say anything about this breeder...if that is the case, it's news to me. The site you mentioned is run by a "breeder" named Jeff Dane that is nortorious here on YT, and not in a good way. Do a search on his name or on the website yorkiepup.com and I'm sure you'll get more than enough information to confirm what your gut is telling you. Here are just a few: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...le-so-sad.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...uppy-mill.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...00-yorkie.html Last edited by BamaFan121s; 09-05-2008 at 05:47 AM. |

Bottom line though, IMO, if someone new joins here or is having issues with him, then they deserve to know what has gone on and what the general consensus on him is here. That is why people come here...to get that kind of information before to keep themselves from ending up on the heart broken end of a bad deal. Last edited by BamaFan121s; 09-05-2008 at 06:01 AM. | |

| I think it would be a red flag when you see them advertise toy yorkies. Yorkies are a toy breed. Some of these people are disgusting. They will do anything for a dollar. Poor little babies are the ones that have to suffer for these money hungry, heartless (so called) breeders. |
