Just saying hello! New here. Hi all. My name is Theresa and I'm new here. Well, new to posting anyway. I've been reading here for about 3 months. I have 2 beautiful yorkies named Diva and Coco. I've had Diva since she was 8 weeks old and was given Coco last October when a family member married and was no longer able to care for her correctly. Both of my girls will be three years old this fall. Diva was purchased with every intention of showing her, but right after she turned one, my then 13 year old son was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor. He has gone through 3 surgeries, 6 weeks of radiation and proved the doctors wrong when they told us he would never walk again. He began walking only 6 weeks after his first surgery and currently attended his first Spring Formal, where he danced the night away!! God is Great!! He works miracles every day!!! We recently (in agreement with her breeder who has become a good friend) decided to breed Diva. She is 5 1/2 non pregnant and the stud was almost 4 lbs. with a comparable pedigree. Diva is currently on day 34 from her first tie and our vet comfirmed pregnancy through palpating her abdomen. Diva is due on aroun June 5. Coco is a darling baby who is still adjusting to being with us. She is sooo Sweet!! I'm really glad to have found this community and look forward to talking about my yorkies here.

I want to start off by welcoming you!!!! We would love if you could be in our May due date thread but I guess someone has to start off the June thread! You are oh so right..GOD IS SO GOOD!!!! I am so thankful to hear that your son is doing great and you have an amazing story!!! Our stories aren't exactly the same but close when it came to doctors telling us mothers that our children would never be able to do certain things...My son was born 12 weeks early and was diagnosed with IVH (short terms would be hemoraging on the brain). They said that there was a huge chance that he would not walk, talk, etc. My baby boy is a healthy, talking, walking, full of life little boy!!!! He is 18 months and just 5 lbs. under my 2 1/2 yr. old. I can't to get to know you and cannot wait to hear about your pups!

Congratulations on you up-coming babies!! There's lots of good info and some very knowledgeable folks here. You may want to do a search on some past threads for pregnancy and whelping tips. What part of S. Miss. are you in? I'm in Gulfport.

Hi Niki!! I'm so pleased to meet you. I'm so happy your son is doing well. God is our strength in tough times!! Hi Woogie Man. I've from Tylertown MS about 2 hours north of you. I have quite a bit of experience with whelping and have been refreshing my memory for things I may have forgotten. That's why I was so glad to find this site. Breeding yorkies is definitely challenging and I intend to be as prepared as possible for Diva's whelp.

My family (mother's side) is from Tylertown. My brother and I go there several times a year to tend to our family cemetary there. It's very nice up in that part of the state,
