| New Vet???? I've been thinking about changing vets... Reason being is because my favorite Vets are no longer in the Brownstown office (11.53 Miles away from my house) anymore, they are in the Scottsburg (23.58 Miles away from my house) and Bedford offices (37.6 Miles away from my house) The new Vet there has only been there for a Year (Only been out of school for a year) and I've never seen her, last year she wasn't there and they (ladies at the front desk) say she's been there a year. They do have another office right here in our town but I've seen that vet already with Tiffanies' last litter and she lied to me so I won't go back and see her. There is a Vet right up the road from me here by my house...He's been here in our town for a long time (Just has this new office here down from my road, which my hubby remodled the inside for him & builds houses for his Father-In-Law) My Sister takes her Yorkie Benji there at the older office at the end of town & loves them. I just called to get some info on the new Vet and he has been in the other office for 3 yrs. and been out of school for 5. Very gentle with Yorkies. Good with small breed dogs. Sage has never had a litter of puppies before...And I was thinking that if she had a litter next Spring, what if something goes wrong and I can't get her to the Scottsburg or Bedford offices fast enough?? If we change Vets to this one right up the road from us before she has her 1st litter then I could get to know them good enough by next Spring and see how they do for us. With that being said...Galahad is due for his yearly shots and rabies...Should I go ahead and take him to this new Vet and see how they do with him??? I don't want to try any experiments on new Vets but with them being so far away I feel I need to try something else for all my Yorkies for any accidents that may occur, U just never know what could happen, all our Yorkies have been so healthy with not a health issue one...No sickness at all. What do U Breeders think??? Would U do the change or risk the distance? Below is our gang and ages. If U think I shouldn't take him to the new Vet for his yearly shots, then what should I take any of them in for? Just a check up? They do a exam on them before they get their shots. Galahad: 2 yrs Teddy: 3 yrs Sage: 1 yr Weezie: 10.5 mos Sofie: 10.5 mos Thanks for any advise given. Lee |

| Lee I think a lot depends on if you really like and trust your vet. If you like him I would stay with him I would also just explain to him that tho you want all checkup and testing still done there . You would like to start giving them their shots. If he is understanding like mine. He'll teach you how. And be ok with it.
