| Lilly is in labor!!!! Okay... I see the sack. Most of the literature didn't tell me anything about what to do if it is just hanging there. Lilly seems to be fine and in no distress. Man she really gave me no signs. I appreciate all your help

| Just leave the sack, try not to let her break it open. It maybe very soon, or it can take a little while from here. |

The sack will break on its own. Some of them show little or no signs. Good luck girl...we're here for you.

| if you are talking about the sac that holds the puppy ,give her time to get the sack out. She should push it right out. be ready when she does and you see the puppy to get the sac off the puppy's face and suction the nose and mouth. Then briskly rub it to dry it and warm it up Last edited by Sugar's Mom; 04-16-2008 at 01:52 PM. |

| Do not let her break the sac even though she wants to. Feel and make sure it is not a head or anything as well. Stay right there with her and don't leave her side. She will need you every step of the way! Good luck!!!! |

| My husband is with her now... (she likes him better anyway) But, I expected puppies... but all I see right now is about 3 tablespoons of brownish red liquid hanging in a translucent sack. This all started at 3 pm MST... it has been an hour. No heavy push or panting at this point. I can tell she is uncomfortable. I thought I would leave the sack alone... just checking.

| I've had the water sack hanging for almost 2 hours. Mom was in distress, no heavypushing, until it was time to deliver it. Best Wishes, |

| She is having a contraction now and again, and seems to push a little here and there... lifts her tail up. But, she is just laying down and looking up at us.
