| Running Newspaper Ads? How many of you run ads in your local newspaper to sale your pups? I just checked the Houston Chronicle and am so amazed/aggravated. Let's say I want to buy an AKC FEMALE PUPPY. Here's what I found (IMO): 39 total "Yorkie" ads 22 scams 2 pet stores 6 puppy mills 1 older female 4 mixed breeds 1 unsure (ad won't load/display) 1 not AKC 1 males only That leaves 1 good ad.

| I know what you mean, some don't even look like yorkies! This is a newspaper ad here, look at the 12th ad down on this link.... http://www.azcentral.com/class/petpl...hcategory=4070 Link isn't working so go to search and type in yorkie and look at the 12th ad. | All that I got from my ad in the paper, were people looking for the cheapest one. As soon as i gave them the price, it was "OK thank you" and hang up. |

| Well, I for one am glad my breeder put an ad in the paper! Otherwise I would have never found Tatum!! But I agree to an extent.... I waded through a lot of bad ads before I talked to her.

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I haven't had to yet. I don't think I'd use my local paper. Maybe a larger city paper. But so far my pups have been spoken for |

| Of course, it's a good ad! My search was for a female. I have 5 yorkie boys at my house right now (4 are for sale) and find that boys are just as sweet as girls.

| I agree, that's how I found my Bella. She's perfect and seeing all of the dogs at the breeders house (they had about 15 and all of them obviously lived in the house with them) they were all well adjusted and friendly dogs and very well taken care of. But hey, if all of the babies are spoken for and you don't have to advertise more power to ya!

| I understand and most of mine have gone to family and/or friends, but I can't keep these sweet boys. My hubby caught me calling one by name (Tooter). Ususally they're Boy something, Boy Toy, Boy 1, Boy 2, etc.. He just laughed and said, "Don't even think about it." They're so cute!

| I personally don't like news adds. For the most part, I have homes already lined up BEFORE I breed for a litter. If I didn't have homes lined up, then I'd hold off until I did. |
