| Will the puppies ever come? LOL! Our Bridget was due on the Fourth of July and still no puppies! Her temp dropped to 98.4 yesterday at 2:30pm and at 5:19pm tonight still nothing. I have drove the vet crazy with my wanting to make sure she is doing well, but they keep telling me that as long as I feel puppies moving to just let her go. They said she should have them tonight or at the latest tomorrow and not to worry! How can I not??

| You can't not worry, it's part of the deal. You just have to know that you are well prepared, trust that things will go well when they're meant to and be ready to fly to the vet if they don't. In the meantime, try to relax and have a nice cuppa something soothing. She'll appreciate your calmness. |

| One of my yorkies went a week overdue and we had to do a c-section. the pups were to big to pass thought the pelvis. You should have her x-rayed to check puppy size. |

| My girl went a week early, so I don't know what it is like to be waiting after the due date... although my vet did say if she went so many days after her due date to bring her in for a scheduled C section... Any news yet? brenda |

| No puppies yet We did have her x-rayed and the vet stated everything looked good, but of course to keep an eye on her just in case! I talked again with the vet today (I've had litters before but I get so worried and always think the worst! LOL) and they stated that since all of the breedings we shouldn't worry until Wed! If no puppies at that time my husband will take her in and they said she would need a c-section. We are hoping it will not come to that! So I am just on the lookout for the puppies to keep moving and no green discharge. It's so sad..we have had dog babysitters all week for her and nothing. I am taking off of work tomorrow since I can't find a sitter... so perhaps she will have them then. If not we, have the weekend and next week my sitter can come back. The people at my work have not been very understanding about all this and they all keep asking me why I don't just leave her at home by herself, she is just a dog and can handle it herself! I've never been so offended!! So leave my dog at home and perhaps I could loose all my puppies and my female just so I can go to work?!?!

| Wendy, I bet she has them today or this weekend, while you are home. You are her comfort and she probably wants you there. I hope that it is a smooth delivery and all goes well brenda |

Sorry to hear that your work dosent understand but they cannot be left alone I know a lady that went to work and came home later to find a half born pup and a dead mommie they are not like bigger dogs who can usually have them just fine with no help etc, We used to raise mini horses and had to pull a colt waited for the vet for 15 min by the time he got there her gums were white and we were loosing her pulled the colt already dead and saved mom but we were lucky another 15 min and we would of lost both , time is of the essence sometimes things can happen so quickly. Good luck |

| Yeah! The puppies are here..the puppies are here All very healthy and we have three girls and one boy! They are soo cute and Bridget did great! She just wanted to wait until Mommy and Daddy both were there to help her. She lets us touch and pick them all up if we want, but the Father Gizmo better not come around. She was very upset with him when he snuck in the room to see his babies He is a very proud Daddy We only had problems with one when it was breach (first one to be born) and came out butt first. Although I was ready as I have read all the posts reg. any problems and just helped her when she was contracting. I had to do the downward force thing (when you stand up and gently swing the baby down) on the pup to get her breathing even after I cleaned out mouth and nose, but after that she gave a very unhappy cry... so we were SOO happy to hear that! All in all it took 5 1/2 hours and everyone is doing great! One female has a little white patch on her chest too. Sorry for the gushing
