Bella delivered 4 healthy pups this afternoon. I took her rectal temp and not even 10 mins later out came pup number one! We have 4 puppies total, 3 girls and a boy. Mom and pups are all doing well. Mom is sleeping while pups nurse. I am so proud of her! it was our first litter and she did an awesome job, no complications at all. she did absolutely wonderful! pics are on the way!

Wow.....congratulations! That's kind of how it was with my Lexie. The biggest surprise with her whelping was that it was a week earlier than expected. But yep, when I saw that she was probably in labor, I took her temperature, and not 10-15 minutes later, we too had our first baby. Lexie had 4 pups also...2 girls and 2 boys.
Anxious to see pics of mama and babies...Congrats again!

Mom and pups did well through the night. Pups and mom are both eating well. Bella is going to the vet to day for an oxy shot since she only had one placenta and four puppies. All is well so far! they are sooooo adorable and very active. all good signs.
