| Heat Cycles How regular are your girls' heat cycles? Mine are so off... I have one who went in for the first time at 14 months, then again 7 months later, and now it has been 9 months since the last and no sign of it yet... I have another who went in for the first time at 10 months, then again 6 months later, then again 6 months after that, and now it has been 8 months since her last and no sign yet... And another who went in at 9 months and now is in again 5 months later. What is going on with my girls?? Is it normal for them to be this sporadic? |

| I think that's pretty normal...Yorkies usually have their first heat between 8 and 12 months I believe... |

| Abby had her first heat at 18 mo. and her second heat 11 mo. later. So go figure. I tell everyone she is a holiday girl the first time was on Thanksgiving day this year it was Halloween.

| God I wish mine were like that...is it abnormal for them to do what they're doing? They were with my mentor from puppyhood through the beginning of November, and that's when I got them (except Maddie). She said they were never regular for her, but I'm hoping I can get them on a schedule. Is there anything I can do to try and keep them on track? Thanks. |

| My lil Meka just went into her first heat (8 mo), so I have no idea of her "cycle" yet. Something I'd like to know though...

What are those tricks? I'd just like them to be consistent...I don't mind if they only have one once a year...I just think it would be easier if they each had one every "x" amount of months. | |

| Question !!!! Please tell me, normally you would breed on at least second heat. But if your girl came in at 14 months, would you breed her on her first heat. mine came into her first heat at 7 months..then stayed on track. So that would make second heat at 14 months...just wondering. Have not had one come in at such a late time. I find this interesting. |
