Satin PJ's and nightshirt sleepwear for boys????? 2 Attachment(s) I am so sorry that the satin sleepwear fall collection catered to only furgirls as I thought the prints were to feminine to use on boys . . . .Please know that I do try to always think of our furboys when making decisions as far as coming out with new lines but there just wasn't any that I thought are boyish enough . . . however, my recent trip to the fabric store was interesting as I did find a couple of prints that would be perfect for our stud muffins. Of course, I need feedback to know if there is even a demand for it as so far only a handlfule of valued customers have asked. I also took the liberty of taking pictures of a couple of fabrics so you can provide better comments and feedback. I was kinda being discreet when I took the pictures so they are not as great but I think they are clear enough to provide good feedback. The first one is a wonderful light blue zebra print and the second fabric is actually a wonderful sea green color that says sleepy nap time. I know the second fabrics has a bit of lavander color but hey, we sure do have a lot of metro sexual furboy dressers here  . Please also let me know if there are any of the new satin sleepwear fall collection that you think would work well for boys as I might still have enough leftover fabrics to have them made. |
more feedback needed 4 Attachment(s) Also, I would like to know if the popularity of the satin sleepwear is mainly due to the famous prints chosen or because of the type of material being used that is so great on our furbabies coats. I asked because I only have a VERY LIMITED SUPPLY on the new fall collection so once they have been sold out I won't be offering these prints again. I would love to carry the satin sleepwear all year round but need your feedback/comments on whether I should proceed with buying non-licensed prints. I love all the fabrics but would like to limit to only a few. So please let me know whether I should go and buy more materials to make satin sleepwear as well let me know which prints you think I should buy. Here are some of the prints I fell in love with. There are more but just didn't get around to taking pictures of them all as I was in a bit of a hurry. Please note that the blue zebra print also comes in pink and it would look so cool to have matching sleepwear for those who have furboys and furgirls. |
I like the second one. I also think that the WTP one that you did for the girls would be a good boy fabric too (just not with the pink trim. lol). We vote for Pooh! :) |
I don't have a girl, but I think the satin collection is beautiful just because it is satin. The prints are a plus, but the ones you just posted are pretty too. You could also make satin dresses or maybe even satin panties for the girls. |
First off the two fabrics on the top for boys seem great, I don't mind a little purple for mine:rolleyes: Also the Pooh print would be good for boy's to I think, but I love Pooh:D As for the second batch of prints, I like the purple moon and stars and the pink star one. I don't like the other prints JMO to granny looking for me...LOL sorry Des:) I LOVE SATIN! Also anything you make always comes out great, so I can't wait:thumbup: :D |
I definitely think you should carry them even in unlicensed prints. Of course I think Hello Kitty and Winnie the Pooh will be the most popular, but I think the other prints will do great as well. I really like that pink/red stars fabric. And I like the the first two in that second set too. |
Ahhh I think matching sleep wear would be great:) I like the first print for the boys, I have never put satin on my boys yet, but my girls love there satin nites:) I think non print would also be popular, as i like solid colors to:D |
I love them all!! These are all satin...you mentioned a light weight flannel. Which patterns are those?? And with the flannel, do you line them with satin? That would be ideal for warmth and keeping them from knotting up:D |
I like one and three for the boys. The third one has a lot of blue, so I think it would look nice on the guys. |
The four prints you posted above are cute too...but they are still girly to me (JMO). I do LOVE the WTP print and would love if it had a "BOY" trim around it. If you can do that, save back one for Lily and one for Mojo!! Could you possibly do solid colors in satin? Like red or black or something? That might be something easy for the boys to get by with??? Just a thought. Thanks for always working with everyone!!! You are the BEST!!! |
I love love love the all the prints u have chosen. My fav will have to be the first 2 prints in the 2nd batch. :) I can hardly weight. ( i hope dior likes pajamas, because she is going to have a few:D ) |
I love the purple and gold stars for a boy! (Being an LSU fan, of course I would! Lol!) But I love the idea of silky jammies for boys, I meant to ask you about them when you posted pics the other day! :D |

Thanks Des!! I think some solid colors would be wonderful...especially red, pink, blue, black. Ha! You are the BESTEST EVER!!!! :thumbs_up |
i luv the blue zebra & of course i would luv the HK & the WTP and i luv the paisleys prints too !! :D :D |
I really like the idea of solid colors for the boys! I can just imagine Christmas morning and Gizmo in his red or green satin jammies!! :D We love Pooh bear also. :D |
I love the satin--------for my boy---I keep it too cold at night in the winter. If I had a girl------I'd have to get those ruffly ones just because they are precious! |
Oh Des - I like these in the second batch too! :D Okay....have to add these to my List also.:p (I think The List is a mile long now LOL!!:D ) Just curious Des, but is it possible to embroider on satin fabric? If you decide to carry any solid colors and can offer embroidering, I would love to get something that says Sweet Dreams, Nighty Nite or even maybe stars and a moon. Just a thought.:) |
BLUE ZEBRA print is perfect Love the blue zebra print........... in jammies AND a nightshirt!!! Thanks so much for thinking about the boys, Des!!! |
OK, here goes Des. Yes, I would buy the satin all year. I think I'll like it with their coats. But I still like the material you use for the nightgowns now - so I'd like to see them both offered - if possible. (Not to cause any confusion but my kids will probably wear the satin in the summer and the other material in the cooler months - I keep my house cold all year) :p I like the following satin: Blue & Pink Zebra Blue & Pink Butterfly (from this thread) which will work for both my kids  One of the licensed prints for Mia and a solid color that matches it for Max. BTW Des, what prints "won" in the thread you had before you left town? Did the Pink & Blue Penguins get picked? I love those!!! |
Ok Des, I LOVE all the prints....BUT!!! I am going to be TOTALLY honest here ok??? I'm not sure if I could put Stedman in a satin nightie  LOL! I know there are many here that would...but I just don't know! He DOES have a pair of silk boxers (lol so funny) - but I don't know what my husband would say about a silk nightie for Sted LOL  Not knocking them! I think they are VERY CUTE - and I KNOW that people here would buy them for their boys...but I'd have to think about this one! LOL. Remember - just being totally honest with you here on this :p I will have to see a pic of a studly little boy Yorkie wearing one of these  Stedman IS very secure in his masculinity though, so MAYBE he could pull it off ;) lol. |
Ok, I just went back and read some of the other replies - I think Jenn mentioned something about a BLACK satin one - now THAT I think I could do ;) Or maybe even a DARK navy blue ;) |
ive been waiting for you to open back up!! hehe. -i LAGGED BIG TIME on placing an order before your vacayy..:thumbdown (by the way i hope you have had a nice, relaxing time!!) i am definately gonna want some PJS.. and a couple other things as well.:p ;) the countdown continues.. hehe. |

Our Yorkie men could be the Yorkie Hugh Hefners!! :D :p :D :p |
Des I LOVE the purple paisley for Mia....love all the other ones too but that purple is so pretty. I also have to agree with some others though - I am not so sure about any of those prints for my little Stud Muffin Murphy. I would however buy him a solid color or the Winnie the Pooh in a boy colored trim. I know I may stand alone on this but I like these prints way more than the Hello Kitty's or WTP. JMO....but as always I like where you are going with this!! :) :) |

I was thinking the same thing! I PMed Des to see if she can make boxers/pj shorts for the boys. I think it would be really cute to see them walkign around the house in them. |

Des, there is a kind of fabric that they make women's nightgowns and pj's out of. It is satiny on one side, and napped, flannel-y on the other side. Have you looked into this for pjs/nighties for our babies? |
I like the two first "boy" fabrics. I would buy satin pj's esp, during the spring and summer months, as it's too warm here most of the year for much of anything heavier. I think black with red monogramming would be really cool too! I know that satin would be relatively warm too, but I think that it would at least be a little lighter than anything else. I could def. see Max in a pair of black satin jammies. Robes to match would be really cute too:) . |
