I felt that something was wrong with her in the beginning is the only reason I became involved. To clarify....no one had to go through me. I was giving her personal email out to only those who had issues per her request. You can understand not posting that on an open forum.

Because the check cashing place did not check with the bank prior to cashing it.

It does not matter what this vendor's personal problems are. For her to cash a check AFTER being told not to, and AFTER being expressly told by the person that issued the check that it was no longer a valid instrument, is unconscionable and is an act of fraud against the check cashing establishment.

If you put a stop on that check then the bank already charged you for that, if that check went through anyway, then you better call your bank, it's definitely NOT your fault. I have never heard of someone charging you 10x more than what the original check was for :confused: tell them NOW your going to sue them for that amount, just for the aggravation they put you through :mad:
Don't let anyone push you around, get on the phone and start demanding answers to this. I think it's terrible this person is not helping you. I am sorry if she is going through personal problems, that is no excuse to leave you like this and just never get back to you.

I'm curious why these members are having to go through you to address their issues with Adrianna? Why is she not here on YT handling her own business and dealing with her customers? Apparently she still has access to e-mail, so why has she not been on YT?

I have never done business with this person but I wanted to share something with you , my Uncle owns a pawn shop which is also a check cashing store, I called him because I wondered if this could possibly be true!! He laughed and said they are trying to strong arm YOU!! They are the ones who did wrong, NOT YOU... just because they are familar with HER they have a legal responsiblity to make sure the check is valid, she could have found your checkbook and written the check herself.. infact anyone could do that.. if they cashed the check its ON them!! All you are required to do is go to your bank ask them for the STOP payment information and fax it to the check cashing place ( proof you stopped payment) your responsibility ends there!! Thats why we use banks they protect us!! YOU should be the one suing them for cashing a fraudulent check, not the other way around.. check cashing places are shady anyways!! I would contact the attorney general or better business in that area and speak to them before you end up paying any rediculas fees!!
My uncle said , contact them ask for a FAX number, give that fax number to your bank , ask them to fax them directly your request to STOP PAYMENT , from there its on them.. just because they " know" someone doesnt give them any right to cash a check!! Please do NOT send them any money not even the 170.00.. Adrianna is responsible to pay that NOT you.. they have to find her NOT YOU , they have to take her to court NOT YOU! You did your part by stopping payment on the check!!

Not Sure why the seller is not coming forward. She is ruining her own reputation. Craziness. There are so many people on YT looking to buy things and this is just stupid. Whatever happened with Honesty & Integrity. Apparently this seller doesnt know what that is!!

Some of these places will charge 99% interest on payday loans....... Attorney Generals all over the place are shutting them down for extortion. Also most people who cash checks at places like this can't get legitimate bank accounts because of bad checks or faulty bookkeeping and the banks will no longer deal with them.

Do not get involved with the check cashing place. Their beef is with the seller, whom they cashed the check for. You can bet they will try everything in their power to get the money from you. (threats and scare tactics) If nothing else, this will be a lesson to you about sending checks and getting the ----- scared out of you. :rolleyes: You did all you were supposed to.

I had my purse stolen and someone cashed a bunch of my checks at a check cashing place and they all bounced as I had closed the account. I received a bunch of letters from them wanting their money. I called the check cashing place and gave them the police report case number I filed when my purse was stolen and all was dismissed in 10 seconds. Maybe a police report should be filed against her (can be done online) for stealing your money and not receiving your merchandise and give that info to the check cashing place. THe check cashing place is responsible for their mistake.

I can't understand why a seller can't give out her own personal email addy?? Wierdest thing I have ever heard to sell to someone yourself but allow a friend take care of all the bad business after the check's been cashed.

I hope the bank gave you a code number when you told them to cancel the check..that way u can call them.. and get the proof in your hands and call this place and I bet in a minute it will be over with..

I understand everyone has personal problems, including all business people, but it would only take a minute for her to come on and address her customers herself instead of using a go-between.

I'm not asking for a detailed history of her problems. It just seems to me that a reputable business person would want to personally make her customers aware of any problems or delays - and not go on ignoring their attempts to communicate with her. I'm not trying to be negative, or cause an argument. And, since I haven't placed an order with Adrianna in a long, long time I will bow out of this discussion.

I totally agree. This is not on you, it is the sleazy check cashing places fault. Dont pay a penny. Im sure your bank will tell you what to do when you speak with them today too. Try not to worry too much about it. You did what you were supposed to do.

LOL stealing who's money? There wasn't any money stolen. You can't file a bogus police report. That would just be admitting you owe the check cashing place money that you don't. LOL That would be more headaches, wouldn't it? LOL

The check cashing place didn't have any business contacting you. Who's to say if she frequents the place or went one time? They are liars and crooks. I wouldn't believe a word they said about anything, including her. You need to tell them you lay into THEM. I don't see how a fax is required when the bank rejected it already. They did not verify the check. So sad, too bad. They charge high prices because they do high risk checks. Loss is part of the risk. They know the deal. I thought a bank was the only place to cash a third party check. Now I know they do. LOL

The problem is about her as a seller. I don't know her, period. I've read several posts about her. It sounds like she has some personal issues going on. Like she's going through something she doesn't like. However, it's not that bad or someone would be saying what's wrong. There's just no excuse for this. People can't feel bad for someone that is ignoring you, keeping your money (like some posts read) and nobody knows why.

Sorry, I never meant for her to file a fraudulent police report. I was confused that no one had received money. I was more worried that she didn't have her bag but would have the money taken from her account. Glad you got a laugh from my post though.

I have had problems with her too.
I saw a hoodie that wanted and said I was interested in buying it.
So I sent her pm asking what her address was so I could send the money for the hoodie. Well it turns out that someone else had bought the whole lot. I was not mad as long as I got my refund she sent this in a PM

I will send the payment immediately back to you if in fact it has been mailed.
No worries on that. I will just write return to sender on the envelope for the mailman.

I am the person who bought the whole lot of clothes. I guess I'm lucky that I received them, even though, as I posted earlier....she said she had made a mistake and the PJs were not available after I had mailed my check. I was okay with the things she replaced the PJs with, but still would rather have had the PJs....in fact they were the "selling point" for me! How I'm worried that she has my bank info from my check. That's the last time I'll mail a check to someone I don't really know! :eek:

Wow I am just now seeing this...I am first shocked that she intentionally is not responding to this as I have gotten several things from her and always received my items and always heard back from her. Something must be going on in her life that she is not responding.

I wish that these things would be settled off line vs. in a thread.:(:(
