GUESS WHAT IS BREWING ON GOFETCH . . .and desperately need your HELP I have great news and bursting with excitement and wanted to share with you . . .I have been working on this for a while now and I am finally seeing it happening . . . .I am working on carrying my very own go.fetch sweater collection and hoping to be able to have some in time for Spring (keeping my fingers crossed it can be done in time :)). . .these sweaters are going to be of the utmost highest quality because I am going through a very reputable manufacturer that makes them for other famous designers that carry knitted apparel - so no mass production here . . . anyway, I am asking for great ideas on sweaters . .definitely I will want a cupcake design and possibly a spring flower -TULIP as I just love those when they come out in the spring . . . . . . . . but what else do you think will be saleable for spring or summer? oh how about ladybugs? also, do you just want sweaters or knitted dresses? I value your input so please, please, please feel free to give me ideas as I am sure they are all going to be great. |
That's great but... it's all girly stuff. What about us boys? We like sweaters too. How about a bone, or a studded collar, or a skull and cross bone...lol ;0 I cant wait to get my girl so I can dress her up too. |
Brooklynn and Oliver wear sweaters the most. I do hope you will keep match sets in mind! (girl and boy) I will be watching to see what you get!!:D |
Ladybugs sound good and spring flowers. I love daffodils, tulips, daisies... How about something Easter-ish too, like sheep or something? Pastel colors? For boys: Maybe a few solid colors, but in pastels? Maybe bees or other types of manly bugs for the boys? Harley prefers sweaters with tank type arm holes. He hates tight sleeves. Is that style an option with your new manufacturer? |
Great work, Des. It is so hard to find nice looking sweaters. How about something with a heart? I would really like to see them have holes in the back so my babies can wear a harness UNDER the sweater and I can attach the leash to the harness through the hole. This is the #1 priority for me. |
awesome des!!! Can't wait!! We love sweaters since it's soooo cold here!!:thumbup::thumbup: and i agree with above, i always look for sweaters with holes for the harness. |
OH MY GOODNESS...Des, I am SO happy for you!!! I love the girlie sweaters...But, what are you offering for the little men? How about trucks and cars, bones, paw prints or even lizards... Or, maybe critters with wings (bumblebees) or more than four legs (spiders and ants)? And, how about my usual request for coordinating prints for both boys and girls... |
I can't wait to see these!! I also like them have holes in the back so they can wear a harness under the sweater. Tank arm holes are nice if that is possible. I like the ideas the other girls have on designs. I also would like to see more boyish items. Maybe monkeys (we LOVE monkeys:D) or other animals. :) |
Ladybugs, tulips and cupcakes sound great Des!:p I like butterflies, flowers, and fruit and desserts/sweets, of course.:D I can't wait to see them! |
Def would like to see some ones for the boys.:) |
Sounds awesome!!! How about some sunflowers (my favorite). The possibilities are endless, cars, trucks, insects, animals......... |

yes definitely a d-ring is a MUST . . if anyone has a knitted sweater they absolutely adore that has a hole or a d-ring attached, please post here so I can see what it looks like and perhaps share with my source  I love everyone's ideas . . .although I might not have the budget to accomodate all right away , this just means I can add to my collection slowly depending on how well received they will be. |
That sounds great ! I love Cupcake designs :D I also think dragonflies and daisy prints would be cute . For boys I like little footballs and teddy bears. |
Great idea Des pming you now! |
I like the idea of tank holes instead of sleeves, too. I would also like to see some sweaters that have like a crewneck instead of a turtle neck. Some of our kids don't have a neck long enough to sport the turtleneck look. I would love to see a yellow for the darker Yorkies.. that looks so pretty. :) Can't wait to see what you come up with! |
I think sweaters made from 100% cotton is best for spring and on cool summer mornings and evenings. I'd say go for white for the girls AND the boys, but give the boys a V-neck and sleevless. We can always sew on those really cute decorative buttons, like cars and zoo animals for the boys and flowers for the girls. ;) We can just change out the buttons for different ocassions, like eggs and rabbits for Easter, red hearts for valentine's and green clovers for St. Patricks day, red, white a blue buttons for the 4th and so on. This would certainly cut down on the amount of sweaters you need to buy. Just buy a few sizes in the boys and a few in the girls. |
Not spring-related but I'd love to see a sweater with a crab on it. :) |
Des, I am super happy & love the idea:thumbup: The KJ's love sweaters since it's very cold here and they love to snuggle around and be lazy-comfty! |
[QUOTE=Tiger's Mom;2406601]yes definitely a d-ring is a MUST . . if anyone has a knitted sweater they absolutely adore that has a hole or a d-ring attached, please post here so I can see what it looks like and perhaps share with my source  I knit sweaters and have tried to attach the d-ring and it just doesn't work. It pulls at the sweater and yarn. Having them make a button hole where the ring from a harness worn under the sweater would be perfect!!!! |
How exciting! CAn't wait to see the sweaters you come out with!! |
This is so exciting! I cannot wait to ses how they turn out, What about some that say GoFetch on them, or GF The way some of the designer clothes that we buy for our selves just have the name. I think that would be trendy and cute. |
What about a cute preppy look for the boys? A polo type collar with a solid sweater? Maybe a sweater-vest? When I think of sweaters for men I always picture a horizontal strip across them for some reason. Maybe you could get ribbed/long underware type shirts for the little guys. For the girls, I think polka dots would be cute for spring also, if done right. Maybe a sweater made to look like the Easter bunny? (maybe too much?) |
is there anyway they could have a bit of a sleeve??? it stays cold up north for a while !!! and a d-ring hole is a must :) I love the idea of a multicolored stripe in spring colors! |
I love this Des! I think that ladybugs and flowers will be great - we love daisy's and tulips ;) I think that even something with a sun on it - perhaps a whimsical smiling sun would be cute - I have always wanted to find something for Tatum that said "Your My Little Sunshine" ....I just think it's adorable :) |
A fuzzy lamb would be cute. It could be for boys or girls too. |
How about bunnies on pink, cherries, hearts..For boys, cars and teddy bears |
I think everyone has covered anything I thought of! I can't wait to see what you will have! |
